KANGARUTHA PICNIC AREA

Public BBQ

This hiking trail, although beautiful and rewarding, is quite challenging, featuring numerous ups and downs, smaller hills with steps, and a few tricky corners. It spans 9km one way, offering beautiful views, diverse nature, and access to hidden coves with rock pools. Completing the trail can take up to 5 hours, ending at the stunning Wallangota Beach/Lake. Although recently upgraded, the track could benefit from better signage, especially at the starting point, which is somewhat overgrown and not clearly marked. Despite the demanding nature of the hike, the stunning views, and the sense of achievement it offers make it worth the effort. Moreover, there is ample free parking available for convenience.
